Journal Set 3 - ISPARTA-City Of Roses

    Today, I am going to tell you about my city Isparta, The City Of Roses.Why Isparta is called from this name is because of its roses and rose gardens.The main economic activities in Isparta are rose products.There are also a lot of natural beauties in Isparta like Lake Eğirdir ,  the Kovada Lake and Kızıldağ National Parks and the Pisidian Antiocheia and Apollonia Early Ages Cities, Ertokuş and Dündar Bey Medresses. Besides, The Davraz Mountain has a ski centre, and the canyons, caves and mountains are suitable for nature treks, river sports and many other nature sports.


     Isparta's history dates back 
 Palaeolithic (Pre-stone) Ages. The Pisidian area was a settlement of the Luvi and Arzava kingdoms during 2000 B.C.Until Ottomans,Isparta had been ruled by  Arzava nation.The ‘Aegean Migrating the Tribes Phrygians the Lydians , the Persians  the Pergamon kingdom, the Seleucians, the Roman Empire and Byzantine Empire.


    Finally, Isparta is suitable for both your summer and winter holidays with its natural beauties and historical views.











       In this video,called "The Rose Garden Of Turkey - Isparta" Speaker tells The Rose of Isparta.Firstly it is told that Roses are picked on May and June.The city smells like rose and you can see a lot of shops selling rose products in the city.He continiues saying a sentence of Mevlana and emphasizes the history of roses.Then he gives us some statistics about how many people and how many family get along with rose and rose products.Finally he says that Isparta is known for its rose all around the world from perfume companies.

Journal Set 2 - video entry about perfectionism


               In this video, the speaker tells about how to handle harmful effects of perfectionism with seven steps.She explains them after give 4 needs that are : Honesty , Discipline , Humility and Gratitude.First step is  confronting the disconnectedness experienced imperfect world around.After that it is adviced to deny criticizing the others and let it go and to force them to fun with others.Before the last step the speaker gives a good sentence:"Perfection comes from accepting yourself.You can create it by beating yourself" and she finishes her speech giving a statistic that " Obsessive compulsive disorder affects 2.2 million Americans"

        Today I'm going to tell you about Perfectionism and its positive and negative effects.On the one hand,It can have some damaging effects.  Perfectionist people’s goals can be difficult to reach, so they can easily disappointed by this thougts and get depressed.In addition,expecting big things from life can lead not only failness but also hopelessness.But,on the other hand,it might contribute a great deal to them in some ways. For example; perfectionism can give motivation for accomplishments and encouragement to face obstacles.In addition to this,perfectionist people have high standarts of life and fewer mistakes to fix later.Finally,perfectionism is not fully useful but not totally harmful.
